In Dhilli preparations are in full swing to decorate the palace for the celebration of Janmashtami. Lamps are lit on floating "diyas" in large copper vessels. An altar is being prepared for the idol and garlands of flowers are arranged on the palace walls. Pratha places the "mukut" on Bal Krishna who is also on the altar. More garlands and fabric are brought in for the decorations by many servants. Prithvi and Mir Hussain walk into the pavilion. They come in front of the altar, while Pratha is making the finishing touches, she looks over surprised and says, brother has come! She is excited. Pundir and Chand dressed in traditional wear are with Pratha too, they all rush forward to greet Prithvi. I knew brother would come, says Pratha happily.
Prithvi’s face seems dull, he calls Pundir and Chand. He introduces them, this is Mir Hussain, Ghori's younger brother.
Pundir and Chand don’t like the sound of it, and try to hide their expressions.
Prithvi continues and this is his partner Chitralekha, today onwards they both will be living with us in the Palace here, Prithvi says politely, to both of them.
Pundir is quick to react and opposes it, no Prithvi, any brother of M Ghori cannot be recognized as our brother, this must be some trick of Ghori for deception. Prithvi we all are........
Prithvi raises his arm to interrupt Pundir, Pratha they will be joining you for dinner.
Yes brother, Pratha asks, you will be coming too?
Prithvi changes the subject and looks around. Instead he asks where is Arjun?
There is silence for a moment, Chand is nervous, oh, he answers, Arjun has gone back home to stay for some days.
So suddenly, Prithvi is puzzled.
Pundir nods his head, yes he hasn't visited his family for many days so he just left today, suddenly.
Prithvi has doubt and doesn't say anything he just leaves the pavilion.
Pratha knows something is fishy and asks Chand where Arjun really is?
Chand replies truthfully, he has really gone to seek Rajkumari Sanyogita.
Pratha at first looks angry, but her face lights up with joy, really? She looks at both Pundir and Chand.
Chand nods his head, Pratha is excited and thrilled about it.
Mir Hussain interrupts them and says, can we both lend a hand for some help over here?
Pundir says yes you can, he puts his hand on his chest and says just don't break Prithvi's trust or I will.... He points his finger at him.
Chand interrupts, Pundir! He gestures to stop.
Mir Hussain requests Pundir to trust his words. We ran away from Ghori and came here, we have nothing to do with Ghori.
That is something that time will tell, Pundir comments on him.
Mir Hussain bows his head down to be humble and looks at Chitralekha.

Ghori is very irritated he has found out about his brother. What! My brother has gone and joined Prithvi! He shouts at T Khan, with my worst enemy! He cannot bear it at all. Ghori kicks the table, all the contents on it, smash to the ground. To save his own life he has gone to hide in Prithvi's lap! Ghori is furious, so this is all because of you Prithvi! You had set me free, but you still will have to pay the price for this! And the price will be "Dhilli Ki Tabaee". Ghori has still not ended his rage, he shrieks, PRITHVI! He shouts and walks up to his dressing table and looks at his own reflection in the mirror. He is so angry his hand shakes and he breathes hard. Finally Ghori smashes the mirror to pieces with his fist, the glass shatters with fragments flying in the air.
T Khan was silent all this time observing his Sultan, but now he rushes to Ghori’s side, what are you doing Sultan!
Blood drips from Ghori's hand.
Take care of yourself Sultan, breaking the glass like this in anger will yield what result?
Doesn’t matter no result, Ghori breaths rapidly, I am not able to bear, to see my own reflection of my face, I do not have the guts to see my own face.
T Khan asks how this is.
Because,.... because on my face the scariness is not present anymore, that my own people, that my own people are not scared of me anymore. My own brother Mir.. Mir has become a traitor and ran off, that too for that valueless dancer.
T Khan tells Ghori it doesn’t matter, he will get his punishment for being a traitor. But first come to your senses to carry on with your regular duties.
"Kash thu meri", "Kash thu meri", how can you just see my deep wounds, T Khan? That makes my chest beat hard. Until I give him and Prithvi their punishment, I will not live in peace, I will not live in peace T Khan!
You just give the order Sultan, we will colour the land of Dhilli with blood.
Go T Khan, send my "pygam" to Prithvi.
From the day you gave my brother, the traitor save haven/refuge the same time I have decided and declared his death warrant, his death warrant! Tell him, there is still time, return both of them back, or you will see your own "tabahi" lead your own goal, that nobody will be forget.
T Khan nods his head and is about to leave.
Ghori continues and if Prithvi agrees to release them, then you have to drag Mir Hussain on the road all the way back T Khan! So that the entire world will witness the result of being a traitor to Ghori!
Yes Sultan! T Khan understands the message and leaves the tent.

In Dhilli, at the palace all the decorations have been arranged. A black idol of Krishna with “basuri” decorated with garlands and new "wastra" stands prominent on the altar in the pavilion. Prithvi and Pratha are present. The drums sound loudly, Pratha joins with another lady with sticks and dances. Chand and Pundir take their sticks also and dance too, side by side with them. Along with the four of them, others join the dance too. Music is loud all are enjoying even Mir Hussain watches. Prithvi also sees the celebrations, all are having fun.
Prithvi suddenly leaves the pavilion his mother sits alone too.

Prithvi has gone to his room, to sit. He imagines Sanyogita coming with a lamp in her hand. He gets up to confront her, he says nothing he is silent.
Sanyo asks what happened. Outside everybody is dancing and enjoying themselves and you sit here with sorrow. Just see, whole of Dhilli is blooming with Janmashtami celebrations but at our Maharaj's room there is darkness. I know that till we remain apart, far away, this darkness will never go. Why don't you come to take me away Prithvi?
Mother asks why there is darkness here.
Sanyo's image fades away from his eyes, he comes back to reality. Prithvi turns around to hide his tears.
Mother and Pratha walk into the room. Prithvi, she calls.
Prithvi wipes his tears quickly and turns to face his Mother. Mother?
You are in the room with darkness? Is their anybody here? Put some lights in the room, Mother orders the servants. They bring the lights in a tray. What is this all? She looks at his outfit, and you are wearing ordinary clothes? She feels the cloth he is wearing. You know that it is Gokul-ashtami. How you are like this?
Nothing Mother, just for some time you take rest sit here. Prithvi guides her to his bed to sit. Sit here Mother, just tell me how your journey was?
Prithvi, don't try to change the subject. I cannot understand why you do all this? Why?
Ma, according to your wishes I have left Sanyo, but will Sanyo understand.
Mother is speechless for a moment.
Anyways it is the time to make the preparations of the Janmashtami “puja” come tells Prithvi.

At the ashram Sanyogita prepares to celebrate Janmashtami, she puts the garland on Krishna idol. Ambica Ma tells Sanyogita, tonight you must do the “puja” with all your interests focused on it only. Pray to the Lord Krishna that he gives you the wisdom and strength to forget Prithvi.
Sanyo turns around, she has a grin on her face, she answers her, from Lord Krishna love takes birth, and is infinite it doesn't diminish. And if he blesses me then your work will be even more difficult for you.
Ambica Ma walks to her, at least for today pray to the Lord with out remembering Prithvi.
For me Prithvi is like a God for me.
Don't look at a human in perspective as God Sanyogita, Ambica Ma tries to educate her.
God is every where, but the difference is, I also have seen God in a human being, what you see right now in the stone statue.
Okay that’s just fine, then you will have to prove your worship to your God.
Give me the question, Sanyo is prepared, she asks Ambica ma confidently, I will prove it.
I have seen only Lord Krishna in the statue you said then what can you do?
I can take Prithvi's name and succeed in any difficult task, Sanyo challenges Ambica Ma.
Okay then come with me, Ambica Ma takes her hands and leads her outside to a field. If you have strength in your worship then remembering your Lords name, cross this river and reach to the other side she orders. The water has some irregular gas fumes coming from it.
Sanyo looks down at the water, she is in doubt if she can cross the river that easily.

Chand, Pundir and Mir Hussain are seated, they watch the function of the celebrations. Pundir is annoyed with the presence of Mir Hussain, he asks him rudely, till now you have not told us what is your agenda or plan against us?
Chand tries to stop Pundir from saying anything else. He says Pundir enough now and gestures his hand to halt.
Pundir continues and says to Mir, brother you just listen carefully to me now, if you just even try to take advantage of Prithvi’s innocence, then you will be killed.
You are misunderstanding me friend, Mir says.
Hey! Never you say friend, or call me that again, Pundir points his finger at him. A snake is always a snake Mir Hussain! Pundir warns him. I know very well how to slaughter a snake like you.
Prithvi returns to the pavilion, he has heard Pundir's words. Pundir!
Pundir gets up so does Mir Hussain and Chitralekha. Prithvi confronts Pundir, What is this? You understand it properly that he is our guest here!
Pundir replies don't look at his sweet innocent face and be tricked, I have no pity for Ghori's brother.
Pundir…, Prithvi says again, by the time the Swami interrupts and says the “puja” will start now, they halt the argument, both Pundir and Prithvi go to start the “puja”.

Sanyo still is in a dilemma to go or not, she hesitates, Ambica Ma grins at her. Sanyo takes a step forward and looks at the water boiling with gas fumes, then she looks at Ambica Ma again.

In Dhilli, “puja” will start any minute. The swami is getting ready to do “arthi” on the idol of Krishna. Prithvi is present so is mother and Pratha. Prithvi is crying silently.

Meanwhile Sanyo walks over to the edge of the river and makes her way across it, the water is ankle deep. She takes Prithvi's name. She closes her eyes and walks across the river, she has made it most of the way. Ambica Ma watches.

Swami calls Prithvi to do the “arthi”, he does just that and everybody else comes closer to the idol and they all gather around. Prithvi takes the lamp and encircles it around the idol.

In the ashram too, Sanyo is also doing “arthi” on the Krishna idol there, she has successfully done her job and returned.

Meanwhile, when Prithvi is doing “arthi” T Khan enters the Dhilli palace, he rushes to get to Prithvi quickly and has reached the hallway, two guards with spears are with him. Both Sanyo and Prithvi simultaneously finished the “arthi”. Prithvi closes his eyes and prays.
At the same time Sanyo asks God not to test her anymore. She says let me reunite with my love, I cannot wait anymore. Lord let me meet Prithvi, she prays, Ambica Ma leaves the room.
Prithvi is still praying his eyes are closed.
