Chand and Prithvi enter the court of the palace. Jaichand is seated in his seat, he watches Chand Bardai enter, announcement is made, Dhilli’s Rajkavi Sri Chand Bardai is here!
Chand and Prithvi on the red carpet Maharaj Ki Jai Ho! Chand says to Jaichand.
Come, come kaviraj your Prithvi’s spirit is there but too bad he was not invited here. Jaichand laughs and so does all the guests in the court.
Chand and Prithvi watch and tolerate them, as they all laugh.
Jaichand asks first of all how did Prithvi let you come here in the first place?
That is the speciality of Maharaj Prithviraj Chauhan.
Means? What do you mean by that, Jaichand is serious now?
Means that Prithvi is like the sun, to see him you need the energy and capacity.

Chand is seated and the music starts, two dancers throw flowers in the air.

In another room of the palace a dancer gets ready and puts on her accessories.
A servant runs to a dancer’s room and tells Karnatiki somebody has come to the court, from the former kingdom you were in before.
From Dhilli, who is it?
It’s Rajkavi Chand Bardai!
Really? Karnataki is thrilled and gets up from her dressing table.
He is reciting poetry in the court, tells the servant.
Chand Bardai has come to the court?
Yes, nods the servant.
He is from my old kingdom and special friend of Prithviraj Chauhan. I will meet him now.
Wait Karnataki, tells the servant, he is reciting the poetry in the court you can’t go in the middle of it. You will have to wait till it is over.
I can wait my entire life for it says Karnatiki.

Everybody is sitting in the court Maharaj Jaichand sits in the front, on his throne. Chand Bardai sings about Prithviraj Chauhan and his great deeds. 4 dancers are also present, they dance along with the music. Prithvi also is playing the instrument ‘dholak’ he sits next to Chand.
2 dancers continue and Chand continues his poem about Prithvi.
Prithvi gets up from the seat and moves around towards the dancers. He walks right next to Jaichand and plays the ‘dholak’ in front of him.
Chand continues his song of "shure veertha".
Prithvi meanwhile rushes behind Jaichand, he looks at him. Prithvi secretly looks for a place to hide and runs back to the seat where Chand is sitting, near a pillar. Prithvi is hidden behind the pillar, he places his dholak down and removes his turban. He places it in such a fashion like he is seated there behind the pillar sitting next to Chand.
Chand sings, “wo hai Prithviraj Chauhan, wo hai Prithviraj Chauhan”.
Jaichand gets doubtful as he is not able to see Kanhaiya properly.
Prithvi moves out of the court and starts his duty to search for Sanyogita. Prithvi runs into the hallway to search. Prithvi ducks to hide from some approaching guards. Prithvi tries to walk away but knocks down a vase of flowers. The two guards are alerted they run down the hallway. Prithvi quickly hides behind a column. The guards realize there is nobody there, they decide the vase must have fallen on its own. They arrange it back and say, lets go, they go elsewhere. Prithvi watches them leave and is free to look for Sanyogita again.
Jaichand is listening to the poetry of Chand, and watching the dancers all this time. His attention is diverted to the turban again how can Kanhaiya sit quietly there for so long without moving at all? I cannot even see him properly, I cannot see him clearly at all, Jaichand is suspicious.
Prithvi wanders around the palace checking room to room, he peeks through the door of the “Puja” room, where the Shiva idol is kept. Prithvi checks nobody there outside and closes the door from inside the room. He walks inside and sees Sanyogita’s Mother, she prays, “hai Bagwan” protect of my baby, she cannot live with out Prithviraj. Just please send him here, God. Save my baby, mother continues to pray.
Prithvi is behind her and says to her, God has listened to you. He walks over to Sanyogita’s mother and faces her. Prithvi starts to remove his moustache.
She recognizes, Prithvi? Mother is overwhelmed by his presence, he came so quick!
Prithvi bows down and falls on her legs.
Mother blesses him, let God give you all the happiness.
She orders Prithvi to go quickly otherwise if you don't meet Sanyo today she may take any drastic decision.
Prithvi puts his hand on her shoulder and assures her not to worry. I have come and will never allow anything to happen to Sanyogita. Where is she?
Mother reminiscences the previous time when she had a discussion about her destiny. Mother remembers how Sanyo said she could not let her life be left alone to destiny just like that! I am Prithvi’s and destined to become only his! Mother is shocked as she remembers her words.

Chand continues to recite poetry in the court the dancers dance. Jaichand’s attention is still on Kanhaiya. On the other hand Mother explains to Prithvi all the details.
Jaichand cannot take it anymore he is suspicious about Kanhaiya and gets up from his throne. He doesn’t believe he’s there anymore. Jaichand walks forward to where Chand is sitting. He says Wa! Wa!
By the time Prithvi has returned he comes fast to Chand’s side where he kept the turban. Kanhaiya comments look Guruji, he is so happy with the poetry that Maharaj has come himself to award you! Prithvi tells Chand, see that. Maharaj has come himself.
Jaichand smiles and removes his chain from his neck and gives it to Chand.
Thank-you Maharaj, Chand bows his head to Jaichand in respect.
Jaichand walks away irritated because he could not catch Kanhaiya and sits in his throne.
Prithvi whispers in Chand’s ears I found out where Sanyo is.
Chand and Prithvi walk back to their room.
By the time Karnataki walks over to Chand, Prannam Kaviraj.
Karnatiki how are you?
I am well, but how is Maharaj Prithviraj? I haven’t seen him for a long time.
Chand replies he is fine.
Karnatiki eyes Kannaiya and sees his garments and royal necklace, she realizes it is Maharaj, and pulls her veil down in respect.
Chand quickly says sh......... And shakes his head (he wants her to keep quiet). Chand tells we must go now.
Karnatiki removes her veil.
Jaichand is eyeing the 3, he gets up from the seat and tells them to stop, he walks over to Chand, Kanhaiya and Karnataki.
Jaichand is angry he asks Karnatiki why did you pull your veil down in front of the assistant like that? A dancer is only supposed to do that to the Maharaj?
Karnatiki asks for Jaichand's forgiveness, before you, I use to be in Prithviraj's court. So for me his best friend kaviraj Chand Bardai is just like Maharaj Prithviraj Chauhan. So in all due respect it was appropriate for me to do so.
Jaichand eyes all 3 and tells them to rest now.
"Shukriya Maharaj" Chand is greatful to Jaichand.
Jaichand leaves the court and goes to his quarters, he is angry.
His 3 spies come to his side. They ask what is it Maharaj you look upset?
My intuition tells me there is a problem. I am sure Chand Bardai and his assistant Kanhaiya are on some special mission. Prithvi has sent them here on a pretext to do something.
One spy replies, Maharaj we have been watching them continuously. In the court they both were in front of your eyes, they did not even move for a second out of the room. I don’t see any problem about him. So why do you…
Jaichand interrupts, because the assistant Kanhaiya is Prithviraj Chauhan!
One spy asks Jaichand why do you not get him and lock him up immediately. That will explain whether he is Kanhaiya or Prithvi.
No! Jaichand says we have to first prove our suspicions. I can’t order that because we need to verify it for sure. If otherwise he turns out to be really an assistant? The result will not be good for Rajkumari Sanyogita’s swayamwar.

Enough we must spend sometime with him. We have to keep him occupied in a discussion so if he is Prithviraj he will react angrily and himself reveal his disguise! Then only his corpse will leave here. Prithviraj Chauhan!

Chand and Prithvi go back to their room and close the door. Chand is worried, looks like Jaichand is suspicious on us.
Yes, I think so too, says Prithvi.
Before he locks us up in the dungeon, we better leave here immediately.
Yes we must leave, but not because of fear of Jaichand, but because I have found out about Sanyo and where she is being held. I cannot be separated anymore from her.

They both start to pack their things, but if we leave suddenly, Jaichand will get more suspicious. Then it will be even more difficult to get Rajkumari Sanyogita and leave here, tells Chand.
