Episode on Sunday, December 28, 2008
In the Kabila, Chand, Pundir, Arjun and Jaichand lay on the execution pyre their faces painted black. The executioner raises his axe and swings it downward on Jaichand’s head, he is first in the row and closes his eyes. Cling goes the sound, the executioner is hit and collapses down all of a sudden, he drops the axe. Jaichand is saved.
Sardar watches in alarm.
Jaichand opens his eyes, he is still alive.
Pundir turns his head to see what happened.
Sardar gets up from his seat.
Chand and Arjun look the other way. They see the “executor” fall and behind are Prithvi and Sanyo they have finally returned just in time to save them all.
Jaichand turns his head to see them also he is late to understand what has just happened as he never has any faith in them.
Sardar also sees them both in surprise he can’t believe it.
Prithvi and Sanyo come forward into the grounds. All are quiet and watch them both enter. Prithvi takes his knife and starts to attack the guards one by one. He takes a spear of one guard and kills another. Prithvi then releases Jaichand’s bounded hands. His three buddies also get up to attack the tribals.
Sardar orders kill them, he takes his own spear to attack and comes down from his platform. He faces Prithvi, they both fight with spears Sardar misses Prithvi, while he strikes.
Jaichand attacks 6-7 tribals at a time all topple backwards he pushes them all away and kills another. Jaichand stabs another in the stomach.
Prithvi and Sardar continue to fight, Prithvi holds the spear upward to protect himself while Sardar tries to strike him. Prithvi attacks him back and kicks him, Sardar falls down.
Arjun attacks two tribals at a time with his spear, he kicks the second one.
The Sardar tries to cut Prithvi’s head with his spear but misses, he ducks down. Then Sardar tries to get his legs but Prithvi jumps up in time. Sardar manages to hit Prithvi with his handle instead, he twirls around and attacks Sardar back again and he falls down.
Pundir kicks one more tribal then he gets another. He cuts 3 more people and pushes them away with his spear.
Chand fights 2 more, one at a time. He hits another tribal the metal sound clangs.
Jaichand is fighting continuously with one tribal he gets pushed away and his head falls into a barrel of water. Jaichand’s face is washed clean the black paint is off, he gets up away from the barrel and attacks the same tribal again and stabs him with his sword.
Prithvi is cautious he points his spear at Sardar, while Sardar points his at Prithvi they walk in circular motion, slowly. Both attack with their spears. Prithvi is quick and cuts into the Sardar he is injured. Sardar stumbles backward and tries to defend himself. Prithvi holds Sardar’s spear stationary and stabs him in the guts. The Sardar is gone, Prithvi stabs him again in another part of his body.
Chand has realized it, so has Pundir and Arjun. Prithvi watches the Sardar drop dead to the ground. All the other tribals halt their weapons and bow down in front of the Prithvi and gang with Jaichand. The fight is over, Prithvi eyes Jaichand, while Sanyo rushes towards Prithvi. Jaichand stands motionless and silent looking at Prithvi and Sanyo. Prithvi also looks at Jaichand. Prithvi pats Sanyo on her back, Sanyo slowly walks over to her father, tears are in her eyes. She looks at her father, Jaichand is also relieved and tries to stop himself from crying. Sanyo goes and hugs her father, Jaichand doesn’t want to accept her. Prithvi and Pundir watch.
Jaichand refrains himself to return the hug, he holds his fist away from her while she cries on his chest. Jaichand is still bitter.
Prithvi walks slowly towards them both, while his buddies watch him. Sanyo comes to his side, Prithvi doesn’t know what to say to him. Prithvi requests and prays, just end this enmity here Jaichand and bless us both.
No word from Jaichand’s mouth he just glares at them both in silence looking straight without any emotion.
Prithvi and Sanyo bend down slowly to take Jaichand’s blessings, they kneel and touch his feet.
Jaichand doesn’t react and walks away, he doesn’t bless them. He is shameless Prithvi saved his life from the Sardar. Prithvi and Sanyo are still in kneeling position and watch him walk away. Prithvi’s buddies watch him too. They both finally stand up, Prithvi sees how Jaichand is still so stubborn.
Sanyo is disappointed and saddened by her father’s behaviour. Prithvi puts his arm on her shoulders to comfort her.
The next day all of them Arjun, Pundir, Chand, Prithvi and Sanyo gather and sit by the banks of the river near some boats. All are washed up and fresh with new garments.
Now, we can make our journey back to Dhilli without any problems, Arjun says confidently.
Prithvi smiles at Sanyo, she returns a smile back to him.
Chand agrees, yes and I am positive that Maharaj Jaichand will definitely come to give his blessings, before we even reach Dhilli. All are happy and pleased with the outcome. Pundir, Arjun, Chand, Prithvi and Sanyo sit peacefully on the banks of the river.
Prithvi looks at Sanyo and says, you were right when you said, just see now, after some days your father himself will come to Dhilli and give you blessings himself. Till that time the situation will cool down, Prithvi nods with a smile.
Chand gets up and goes elsewhere, Arjun gets up and exclaims too, yes! That is why we will not return to Dhilli secretly but with great vigor and excitement, celebrate the journey with happiness!

Chand returns and says look, he has tied a turban around his head and carries a drum, I have made all the preparations of the procession too, he shows them.

Jaichand enters the palace, he has reached back to his Kannauj. He enters the hallway angrily and knocks down a vase with his sword. He goes and kicks another pedestal down with a vase full of flowers too.
Queen Nayantara waits in the hallway with all the servants to welcome him back, she thinks Maharaj’s anger means only one thing, my daughter and Prithvi are both safe, she is happy with the result. She watches Jaichand knock down a large swan decoration. Jaichand walks over to the queen and unexpectedly knocks the tray she holds right off of her hands, all the contents falls down. The queen screams in shock.
Jaichand is angry, Maharaj Prithviraj Chauhan has escaped from our hands, and as long as I’m alive, he will never reach Dhilli with my daughter, he warns. I myself! With my own hands, will wipe the “sindhoor” off her forehead. Prithvi and his friends are dancing and singing in celebration and happiness as if I have forgiven them. But they do not realize that this happiness will be the last happiness of Prithvi’s life, the last pleasurable moment of his!
A function is arranged for Prithvi and Sanyo they are all dressed up and flowers adorn their faces. The 3 buddies celebrate, the singer sings a song, village folk are gathered around them. Arjun also joins with singing to his buddy Prithviraj. Chand plays the drum and sings along too. Prithvi and Sanyo are pleased. Pundir joins in the chorus also they sing about their friendship. The three serenade their King together.
They are unaware but behind the bushes is somebody spying on them.
A group of people take Sanyo to the all decorated up “palki” and get her seated inside, simultaneously Prithvi’s buddies take him to his horse which is all lavishly decorated also. The three continue humming and dancing, Sanyo peeks out of the “palki”, while Prithvi peeks through the flowers on his face and smiles at his friends while he sits on the horse.
The spy continues to watch the developments from a hiding spot.
Arjun sings of spreading flowers, marigold, he takes them from trays held by servants and scatters it all on the path in front of Prithvi, he walks over to the “palki” and lifts one end of it. He sings of taking his sister-in-law back home. Chand rushes forward and pushes Arjun away to take the same end of the “palki”. Sanyo peeks out and smiles at their mischief. Arjun runs back in front of Prithvi’s horse and sings with Pundir. Chand comes back and joins the two, to dance some more. Prithvi and Sanyo are pleased, the parade carries on with their journey back the Dhilli. A group of people walk ahead with them behind, Prithvi is happy with the occasion.
The spy leaves to deliver the message of the latest developments.
The procession has halted and come to a bank of a river, all take rest. Prithvi joins his buddies who sit and relax near the river.
Arjun exclaims hey! What is the groom doing over here? He he he.
I have come to meet you people, says Prithvi, his friends nod their heads. What are you people actually doing?
We were thinking about how we will celebrate the marriage after we reach Dhilli, replies Pundir.
At the other end, in Kannauj Jaichand gets ready and assembles his army, his spy has returned with the news. I will change the celebrations into doom, he says. Jaichand has his map laid out in front of him, his commander and troops listen to his plans. We must make rigorous attacks on them before they reach Dhilli.
At the river bank, Prithvi explains, it will take 3 days more before we reach Dhilli, before Sanyo reaches there, I wish that preparations be made for her. A grand welcome in such a way that nobody has ever seen before.
You don’t worry about that, says Arjun, me and Pundir will leave for Dhilli immediately. Pundir smiles positively.
Jaichand explains further to his army and senior officials about the plans, all my men must be positioned on the northern area of the Kannauj border, he points at his map. I have received the news that all of them will travel in this direction ahead.
Pundir informs Prithvi, if we travel nonstop, we can cross the northern portion of the Kannauj border within 3 days.
That’s alright, tonight we will make a stopover at Gomligaon and then proceed ahead, Prithvi decides. By this we will get more time to make preparations.
Jaichand is determined to get Prithvi. No Prithvi, no, now you have very little time, I will never forgive you for what you have done. This journey of yours will be the last journey of your life.
Prithvi continues explaining what he wants, and that too, more than our happiness, you will take half of the army along with you.
But Prithvi, the whole army must be with you only Pundir replies, since sister-in-law is with you, if you get into some danger then?

Jaichand continues, we will all leave here today, 3 days later we will arrive at the Kannauj border.

Night has fallen, Prithvi and Sanyo walk in the dense forest, behind are the remainder of the army and the empty “palki”. Sanyo has grown tired and sits by a tree, enough I am not able to walk any further.
Sanyo but we are about to reach our destination Gombligaon.
How long have you been saying so, that we are almost there? Now I will rest here only, Sanyo sits on a curb by the path.
Prithvi looks at Chand, Chand ignores him, Sanyo? Why don’t you get on the “palki”?
When you are all walking, how can I come by “palki”? When Ramji was in his exile, Sita also went with him the same way.

The Mukhiya demands, surrender her to us!

Sanyo looks up in the sky, the sun is about to rise. Prithvi, it is almost morning, she warns.

One man is doing “arthi” on an idol with a flame in a pot at the execution grounds. Sardar comes from another entrance and goes to his seat on the platform.

Both of them punch each other, Prithvi kicks Jagraj and he falls to the ground. Prithvi jumps on Jagraj’s body and knees him. Jagraj lies on the ground, Prithvi tries to attack his arms, but Jagraj kicks him away. Jagraj gets up from the ground, and faces Prithvi again.
Sanyo looks up in the sky, the sun is about to rise. Prithvi, it is almost morning, she warns.
Prithvi is aware of it.

The executioner has finished sharpening the axe. He is ready now.
Sanyo is trying to wake Prithvi up, but no movement from him.
