Prithvi has already dropped Sanyo home in the palace and left Dhilli. He rides back swiftly to Kannauj on his horse as fast as he can passing through the rough terrain. The sun has risen and he has to make it back fast before Jaichand realizes he is not there and frame him as a coward. Prithvi rides with his sword in hand and wears his full armor. He passes through a barren desert area.
In Kannauj, at the battlefield the Dhilli flag is hoisted in Prithvi’s camp. Morning has come, I’ll go now friends, says Chand. The 3, Pundir, Arjun and Chand have gotten ready and wear their black uniforms and armor. Take care of yourselves.
You also, says Pundir. All three take hand in hand and pledge good-luck. Har Har Mahadeo! They all give a hug to each other. Each of them set off to their positions as per their plans.
Prithvi rides on nonstop. In the journey Prithvi is reminded of Baba words, which is why he is more worried about his friends.
At the battlefield all is set. Chand commands his group of troops, they stand behind him in a row facing his opponent Jaichand and his army at two opposite ends in the barren deserted grounds.
Chand knows where he will be and what to do according to Pundir’s strategy.
Pundir is vigilant and waits in the forest with the Dhilli troops, they will move when Chand gives the signal. He goes accordingly with his own plans and plans to attack them.
Likewise Arjun sits in another area of the forest with his group and keeps vigilance also. He too waits for Chand’s signal according to Pundir’s plan, also.
See poor Prithvi he has only a handful of his army left to face us. We can eliminate them effortlessly. Jaichand’s commander orders, get ready to attack!

Jaichand notices something, where is Prithvi actually?
Prithvi is coming, he rides through the desert as fast as his horse can take him, he will be there soon.

He was afraid of you and ran away from the battlefield Maharaj, the commander ridicules.
They are wrong Prithvi is on his way from Dhilli and will arrive soon.
No Senapati! Prithviraj Chauhan will not accept defeat that fast! He must be playing a new move, and he doesn’t know after some moments, even before the battle starts, this war will be over. And his entire strategy will go wasted, Jaichand points in front of him.
Pundir and Arjun wait in their respective areas with their troops in the deep forest hidden in the tall grass. They keep an eye and wait to make their next move.
Meanwhile Jaichand’s troops climb trees, sit and search for a good view to spy on the Dhilli forces. From here I cannot see anything, informs one troop on a tree.
Another troop says lets search ahead for them and see. All of them jump from the trees and go to search somewhere else ahead. They cover their bodies with tree branches, and tip-toe slowly and silently through the forest.
Meanwhile Prithvi is on his way, he has brought additional troops who are running behind him at fast pace.
Jaichand orders, attack! You must pin them down within few moments!
Chand orders go ahead and attack troops, today we will merge the enemy in the soil otherwise we will ourselves merge into the soil! Another set of troops are behind them few 100 yards away, they wait on the ground. Har Har Mahadeo! They all march forward.
Likewise Jaichand’s military also march towards their enemy they face each other. Both armies confront each other on the battleground they scatter and the fight is on. Chand’s sword clangs against Jaichand’s sword. All troops of Kannauj fight against the troops of Dhilli. Metal clangs with metal.
Prithvi still has some distance to go.
Arjun and Pundir wait patiently in the dense forest, in their respective areas.
Pundir waits patiently with the army.
Jaichand’s forces are looking for them, they climb some trees and get a view at height. They have finally spotted Arjun’s forces hiding nearby. They see from behind them. Arjun is unaware of their presence. They can see clearly that this is Prithvi’s buddy. They carefully and slowly leave the area so they are not caught.
Chand and Jaichand fight, they pin each others swords. Chand goes Arghhhh! And thrashes at Jaichand, he ducks down. Jaichand too aims at Chand’s head, he ducks down in time and he misses him. Both of them swing their swords on each other’s, clang! Chand turns and looks behind himself, he gives a nodding signal to the troops who are behind them, yards away. Chand then gives a big jerk to Jaichand’s sword, he suddenly shouts, run from here! Suddenly all of the Dhilli troops make a run, away from the Kannauj army. They are few compared to Kannauj forces.
Jaichand cannot believe what is happening and yells, stop!
Chand and the forces have run away a long distance.
See how they run away like cowards, showing their ego they are running like little rats, Jaichand points at them. Follow them all! Don’t let them run away! Today only from here will go enemies’ corpses! Corpses! Let’s go!
Prithvi rides on, he remembers the time when his father was slaughtered by the enemy through deceit. Bhimdev had cut his father through and through. He also remembers the situation of Sanjam. This time nobody of my own will be able to leave me like that. I will not allow anything to happen to my friends at all. Nobody can even touch them as long as I am alive, never.
Chand and the Dhilli army run fast to the area where more troops wait.
Jaichand’s forces follow them all behind, they run faster.
Chand and forces run a great distance and meet up with the second group of Dhilli troops who lie on the ground ahead in a low lying area concealed. They join forces together, Chand shouts Har Har Mahadeo!
All the Dhilli troops shout Har Har Mahadeo!
Jaichand and his military catch up with them and halt after they see a large group of troops. Jaichand stretches out his arms to block his own army behind and protect them, he scans the situation he can see they are equal now in number.
Dhilli’s army shout, Har Har Mahadeo! Har Har Mahadeo!
Jaichand gains his confidence again, one by one kill them! Come on!
Chand leads his team, Attack! Attack! The voices echo. All of them race back to get the Kannauj army they have full strength now.
Both armies unite and attack violently their swords thrashing each other. Chand and Jaichand are face to face. Wow, what do we have here, today Prithvi has kept a poet in his place to hold weapons!
Right now you have only seen this poet’s writing ability (quill power), when you see the strength of my sword it will knock you unconscious, Maharaj.
Yes we will see that today!
Prithvi is very near now he will reach the battlefield soon. He has made the journey to Dhilli and back successfully all through the night.
Jaichand strikes at Chand first and then kicks him. Chand is forced backward he gains momentum. Chand is then attacked by a troop of Kannauj they pin their swords on each other.
Meanwhile Jaichand backs away, he sees two of his messengers, why have you both come over here! Both of them whisper something in his ear. He looks pleased by what he has been told, secretly. Very good, very good. Both of Prithvi’s friends are his left and right hands! Go and lay their corpses! Go!
Poor man Prithvi, both of his hands are going to be cut away and he doesn’t even know about it?
Prithvi has arrived finally, he slows down after a long journey, his work isn’t over yet. He sees his army fighting, behind him are more of his troops who had accompanied him. Prithvi sees Chand fighting Kannauj troops alone and gets off his horse. Prithvi calls Chand! He takes his sword out of its case and rushes to join him.
Jaichand and the commander’s attention are caught on Prithvi, they watch him closely, he has finally arrived. Jaichand laughs, at last the coward has come on the pretext of changing his outfit. Jaichand’s eyes are focused on the one and only Prithvi. He points at his direction, today not even God will be able to save him from my hands. Here I will keep him occupied with me, and you will go there and finish off his two friends, Jaichand orders his commander. They have found out about Arjun and Pundir’s whereabouts.
I understand it clearly, Maharaj!
But this fact, Prithvi will not figure out in time and when he does, it will be too late his 2 friends would have been killed by then. Jaichand watches Prithvi fight one troop after another. Go! He orders the commander. Prithvi!
Prithvi again checks and sees Chand is fighting alone, if Chand is here? Where are the rest of them, Arjun and Pundir? Prithvi thinks in his mind.
Prithvi moves towards Jaichand, instead many of his troops form a line in row and block Prithvi. Prithvi stops and waits he watches them form a line. Slowly after some moments they all move away and form a circle around him. Jaichand can be seen from the center he walks forward to Prithvi. Jaichand comes face to face with him, so at last Maharaj Prithviraj Chauhan had to come out of hiding from his cloak, eh?
Only brave buzzards like you take help and hide behind cloaks/veils Jaichand. Likewise Prithviraj Chauhan forces himself into the enemy’s house and attacks like the courageous, he points his sword at him.
Jaichand responds back and points his sword at him too, Prithvi! If you were a tiger, instead of sitting and hiding you would have been standing here in the battlefield like me all this time.
Why don’t you just say that you have come here before me like cowards to plan out some tricks on us.
Who is the real coward, the decision will be made right now. Jaichand lifts his sword in the air on Prithvi, Arghhhhhh! Prithvi is poised and ready to aim. Jaichand stops and then he swings the sword on Prithvi’s sword, clang the fight is on. Prithvi hits his sword then Jaichand hits back again. Prithvi swings at Jaichand missing him twice, he ducks down in time. Jaichand pins Prithvi’s sword in the air and kicks him backward. Prithvi gets ready and goes Arghhhh! He swings his sword on Jaichand. Jaichand pins the sword up, they hold it up for a moment, Prithvi’s attention goes elsewhere he looks around the battlefield for his buddies, where has Arjun and Pundir actually gone to he thinks in his mind?
Jaichand reads his mind and thinks, they have gone to meet their deaths.
According to Pundir’s plan, Arjun sits and waits in the foliage patiently for Chand’s signal. He waits with his forces on the right side of the forest. The Dhilli army is sitting in their positions scattered apart. They do not notice the approaching Kannauj army tip-toeing nearby in camouflage spying on them. As soon as we get Chand’s signal we will all cut the enemy, informs Arjun. The Kannauj army is nearby watching them.
At the other end of the forest are Pundir’s forces they all wait in the tall grass also. Pundir is growing impatient. Chand give us the signal fast, our swords are getting eager and thirsty for the blood of the enemies.
Behind them also are Kannauj’s troops with the Senapati, he is spying on them at close range, see Prithvi’s other friend Pundir, he says. Keep on hiding within the cover of trees and move behind them ahead, he tells the other troops softly. And once I give my signal, you must eliminate him the same way like Arjun! The Kannauj troops move in closer, Pundir is not aware of it.
Arjun and his forces still wait in the forest in silence. Kannauj troops are behind them closing in on them slowly. They carefully tip-toe across the ground making no noise at all, arousing no suspicion.
In the battlefield Prithvi is still trying to search around for his buddies if they are anywhere to be seen.
Jaichand scolds him, Prithvi keep your attention on the war. Jaichand doesn’t want him to find his buddies, he wants to keep his attention on him only. What do we know whose aim may hit first, ehh?
Both of their swords are still pinned up in the air, they both move around in circular fashion, round and round, they stop.
Looks like you have forgotten that Prithviraj Chauhan’s aim can never falter, no matter where I am looking, I always have my attention on the enemy he pushes Jaichand back, arghhhh! Jaichand doesn’t lose his balance and positions his sword straight in front of him, Prithvi applies his force and twirls around.
Time has elapsed, Arjun is waiting, he says enough now, any moment now Chand will signal, he looks at the troops.
Pundir in his area says, everybody get ready, the time to attack is approaching shortly. The Kannauj troops get ready also, they are listening to Pundir’s voice.
Prithvi jumps near Jaichand and swings his sword around. He aims at his face but Jaichand ducks down away. They both hit their swords twice, clang, clang! Both of them pin their swords up and grab each other’s arm, they rotate around. Jaichand releases his arm from his grasp and cuts into Prithvi’s arm, he is hurt. Prithvi stands still and looks at his arm. Jaichand stands on guard looking at him.
Meanwhile Pundir is still sitting, they are getting cornered around, they do not even notice the enemy coming to attack.
Prithvi’s sword clangs with Jaichand’s, he kicks him hard behind, their swords hit each other 3 more times clang, clang, clang!
Arjun also waits, no action taken yet, his forces are going to be attacked also.
Jaichand swings his sword on Prithvi’s neck he bends back in time to save himself. Prithvi swings his sword back and cuts into Jaichand’s backside, he halts all of a sudden. He remembers his promise made to Sanyo, he will not injure her father in any way he has no alternative. He only planned to make way for a passage to Dhilli that’s all.
Chand and his division are still fighting back the enemy, he kills one then he makes another turn around and kills another troop.
Now it is time, one Dhilli troop secretly nods at Chand. It is the signal for Chand, he runs to collect the flag from the Dhilli troop who had gone to retrieve it. He takes it quickly in his hands and waves it continuously up in the air. It is orange in colour and attached to a long bamboo pole.
Prithvi looks away and watches Chand’s movements.
The flag moves to and fro.
Arjun sees it and is alerted, so does Pundir at his end of the forest, he looks up and sees the flag swaying.
Arjun shouts move, and eliminate the enemies! He rushes out of the foliage and tall grass. Har Har Mahadeo! The troops come out of hiding also, Har Har Mahadeo! They all raise their swords in the air.
Har Har Mahadeo! Pundir calls, he sees the flag and gets up, he calls his forces out. Behind is the Kannauj army ready to attack, they wait for the “Senapati’s” signal.
Chand has done his job he calls Pundir and Arjun. Prithvi watches him.
The Kannauj army are hidden behind in the forest and have their bow and arrows ready, they aim at their targets.
Prithvi doesn’t know what’s going on, what Chand is actually doing he wonders, his attention is on him.
Pundir and forces rush ahead to Chand, but are met with arrows behind them. Pundir turns and looks behind, his troops are falling prey to arrows shot by the enemy. He watches arrows fly around and killing his men. He is unable to get to Chand.
Same situation is faced by Arjun and his forces as they leave, arrows are targeted on them from behind. Arjun dodges some arrows they just miss his body, but his men get hit. He watches the Kannauj army shooting at them hidden in the tall grass.
Pundir is also caught in the fight, he is made helpless by the sudden attack. One arrow hits him on his back, awwg!

Episode on Sunrday, January 18, 2009
Prithvi looks at his buddies, he is in doubt of leaving them alone. He takes a good look at the 3 of them as he never left them alone to fight before. He gives them all a farewell hug.
Prithvi finishes hugging them, he gets lost in his thoughts, he remembers Baba’s words of somebody’s death. Chand’s, Pundir’s and Arjun’s faces flash in his mind.
Arjun interrupts his thoughts, we both were thinking that we would reach Dhilli first and arrange for sister-in-law’s welcome. But the situation,…. The situation has reversed.
Sanyo feels sorry for that.
Now you will reach Dhilli and welcome us instead, why not sister-in-law? You will definitely be ready to welcome us in victory with the “puja” plate right? Pundir is eager for the answer.
Sanyo smiles and nods yes.
Arjun chuckles and then you must welcome us with lighted ‘diyas’ and garlands of flowers, after all we will be winning your most gigantic battle and returning likewise.
We promise you that we will not even allow the slightest of injury to Maharaj Jaichand, says Pundir.
Arjun says, let anything happen but we will not raise our swords on him.
Sanyo is overwhelmed by their gestures, she takes the dagger from the table and cuts her finger, she applies her blood on Pundir’s, Arjun’s and Chand’s forehead. “Vijaya Bhava.”
The 3 accept her blessings.
Prithvi is ready to take Sanyo with him away, but turns and takes a last look at his friends, before leaving the tent. Prithvi and Sanyo leave the tent and make their way to Dhilli secretly.
Outside the troops on both sides wait in their respective sides on the battlefield. Jaichand is standing outside and keeps vigilant on Prithvi’s camp, his eyes are focused on them, he watches their army attentively they have blocked the view of the tent to allow passage of Sanyo and Prithvi unseen. They both leave the area.
Arjun peeps out of the tent and sees Jaichand. Arjun orders the troops to arrange food for the Queen and King, fast.
Jaichand is watching him and turns away.
Meanwhile Sanyo and Prithvi head by foot to Bhairav Ghat, some soldiers accompany them behind. Prithvi rushes ahead holding onto Sanyo’s hand. Sanyo cannot keep up with his speed, so he halts, what has happened to you Sanyo?
Today we don’t even have a moment to spare to make any stops.
I know you can’t leave your friends alone to fight in the battlefield, but then why did you do it?
Prithvi cannot answer the question, I will take you to Dhilli, and before morning comes, will return to fight this war.
Sanyo is astonished, now she knows they cannot rest at all, he has to drop her to Dhilli and return back in time to fight. I knew it, you were going to do like this. But I will not allow you to come back alone, I will also stay with you here, I don’t want to go to Dhilli.

Pundir continues and tells Chand, Jaichand and his troops should not be allowed to see anything but you and your army division. They visualize the situation. Pundir looks at the model plan on the table, and behind your army some strides away, a small division here, will be waiting for you. Pundir puts another stick on the table parallel to the stick representing Chand’s group. They visualize another row of troops behind Chand’s army, lying low on the ground away from sight at least 1/2 km away.
Now some time after the war starts, you will take your division and run behind backwards.
Chand finds it peculiar.
…..So that the enemy will be happy and think that you are frightened and running away from them. Without any hesitation they will follow you behind, and you will go behind with your army and combine with the other division behind. Pundir shows on the table to Chand, by moving the stick close to the other stick, parallel to it. Now the strength of your troops would have doubled and the enemy will be surrounded caught in your grasp.
Chand and Arjun have understood.
Meanwhile, I will take my division on the right side from behind, he puts another stick on the table vertically to the stick representing Chand’s. I will surround the enemy.
And Arjun, he looks at the table again, he will come from the left side and join with me. Pundir places the third stick on the left side on the table vertical to Chand’s and closes the ends to form a triangle. Now, like this as morning comes, the war will start, no sooner it will be over. Pundir slaps his lap, he is pleased with himself and his plan, he is very confident with the outcome. The three of them stand up and take out their swords and raise it in the air, Har Har Mahadeo!
It is night, Prithvi and Sanyo together sit and travel by caravan which Arjun had arranged for their travel to Dhilli. Behind are some of the troops dressed as civilians. Both sit inside, they are draped with woolen blankets they cover their faces so nobody will recognize them.
See over there Kannauj’s southern border, Prithvi points to show Sanyo. Sanyo can see the tall pillar at the border, it’s the landmark. Once we cross it everything will be all right.
She smiles, but soon realizes a problem. She sees a guard posted there ahead, what if the guard recognizes us at the Kannauj border, then?
Prithvi also realizes the situation. You just lie down here and act as if you are extremely sick and keep your face covered.
Sanyo does just that and waits patiently while the caravan travels ahead. They reach the border and are about to cross it. The guards see them and say stop! One guard walks towards them. Prithvi and Sanyo wait and they don’t know what to anticipate next, the moment is tense.
The guard approaches, who are you people? Where are you heading? He holds the torch in his hand.
Prithvi disguises his voice and answers, oh “Saheb” there is disease spreading in the village, my wife is very sick that is why I am taking her to the “vaid” ahead.
Two other guards walk over to inspect the caravan inside. Prithvi quickly covers his sword that is visible. They guards open the door of the caravan to check, one of them brings the torch inside and bends to see them both. Meantime Sanyo takes action and acts as if she is sick and going to vomit. Ackkkkkkk!The guards move back, she makes more vomiting sounds.
Let them go, says the guard. The poor girl looks very sick, don’t know if she will survive or not, they close the caravan door. Sanyo and Prithvi look at each other, they are relieved. They are free to go, they travel ahead in the caravan and cross the Kannauj border. Sanyo and Prithvi smile and remove their blankets they both hug each other, they are finally free.
Now father cannot do anything to ruin it for us. They both sit comfortably in the caravan and travel to Dhilli ahead.
Jaichand is in his tent, his commander enters inside Maharaj Ki Jai Ho!
Where are all our army divisions that I had called from Kannauj?
All are present and ready Maharaj. We are just waiting for your orders.
Okay then, you tell them all, that the time has come.
But Maharaj, what are the orders for them?

The rider takes the caravan into the Dhilli city limits through the sandy path. Sanyo sleeps on Prithvi’s shoulder. A Dhilli guard sees them and tells them to halt he doesn’t recognize them both. The horse stops and neighs, the caravan comes to a halt, Sanyo wakes up. The guard walks over to them to check, who are you people? Where are you going? The guard comes closer to the caravan and brings the torch to see inside. The guard recognizes his King sitting inside and bows in front of them both. The other guards also bow in respect. Forgive us Maharaj, I didn’t recognize you.
Please tell the troops of the southern division to get ready to leave in few minutes, go.
The guards bow and leave to inform the troops.
We have reached Dhilli, says Sanyo.
Prithvi nods yes, and smiles at her, she also smiles back at him. He puts her head on his shoulders. They are happy, and have finally reached their destination. Prithvi orders lets go, the caravan travels to the palace.
They have already reached safely into the palace.
Sanyo sits right in front of the Shiva Idol doing “puja” she lights the “diya” and “niranjan”, she then prays to the idol.
Meanwhile Prithvi gets ready to leave back to Kannauj he puts on his armor. His servants adjust the chest plate on his chest and fixes it in place, then they put the belt on him. Prithvi’s servants attach the arm plates on his arms.
Sanyo prepares the tray to bless Prithvi for victory in his battle, with “kum-kum”. She also selects the red flowers and puts it on the tray. She prays to the idol for blessings.
The leg plates are tied on both of his legs. Prithvi is ready, lastly he takes his helmet in his hand and leaves the room. Prithvi walks into the hallway to go to the puja room.
Sanyo has finished praying and gets up, she takes the tray down the hallway. Prithvi is also coming to take blessings. They both meet in the middle of the hallway. Sanyo blesses Prithvi, she does ‘arthi’ on him. She finishes doing ‘arthi’ and applies ‘kum-kum’ on his forehead and throws flowers on him. A servant arrives with the sword. Sanyo gives her the tray and takes the sword from her, the servant leaves. Sanyo hands the sword over to Prithvi.
Prithvi looks deeply into her eyes and wipes the tears off of her cheeks. You just don’t worry Sanyo, I will do as I promised. In this war your father will not have to face any danger. The only thing you have to do is make grand preparations for the welcome ceremony. You must welcome each and every person like nobody has ever welcomed anyone like that before. And because of them we have both reached here, we must be grateful to them.
You mustn’t worry about Arjun, Chand and Pundir at all, Sanyo smiles. I will definitely make a special welcome for them. But you must return fast.
Prithvi kisses her forehead and leaves without saying anything. He walks down the hallway to leave the room. Sanyo watches him leave.
Pundir, Chand and Arjun make their beds ready to sleep. Enough, tomorrow will be the last of Jaichand’s army says Arjun. I am absolutely sure that by nightfall we will be back in Dhilli, Arjun pulls the bed covers in place.
Yes, we were going to arrange sister-in-law’s welcome ceremony but now she will be welcoming us instead, says Pundir.
Chand and Arjun smile.
Jaichand’s army divisions get ready with their disguises they cover themselves with leaves, gathering it throughout the forest in their respective areas. They apply green mixture and soil on their faces according to Jaichand’s plan.
Arjun continues, Jaichand can try any kind of trick on us, but it is sure it will be our win.

Prithvi had finished encouraging his troops, so he goes and searches for Sanyo. He has spotted her sitting alone and walks towards her but stops some few feet away. You wipe your tears Sanyo, he says.
Sanyo was remembering her past, she slowly turns around and sees Prithvi behind.
To become a true “rajput” you should never have to cry Sanyo.

Prithvi shrugs his shoulders and folds his arms.

Sanyo and Prithvi together ride on horse, Chand is behind them, they and the Dhilli troops have left Gombligaon and head for Dhilli via the Kannauj border.
The words of Baba run over and over in Prithvi’s mind, he is disturbed by it.
Meanwhile Jaichand’s troops fire arrows consistently, the Dhilli troops are struck, none of them have shields to protect themselves and many of them are dying. Arjun and Pundir stand and try to save themselves in the shower of arrows too.
Arjun questions, are you okay Pundir!
A sudden attack on us? Who can this be? Both of them duck to save themselves.
An attack! We have been attacked, run from here, all the troops exclaim, they run to a safer area, out of reach of the arrows.
Pundir and Arjun are still dodging the arrows. Pundir tries to see beyond in the distance, he sees the figure of Jaichand ahead. Maharaj Jaichand? Pundir is surprised and shocked. Arjun also looks across the lake he can see him too. Everybody move back! Pundir tries to save the army. Jaichand’s military has surrounded us, all of you run into the fields and get ready!
More arrows are continuously fired at them. Arjun and Pundir with the army make a run, out of arrows reach, into the fruit trees.
Both of them sit behind bushes for safety as shields from danger. But Jaichand’s military still fire their arrows at a sharp range. Arjun watches how the arrows still make their way to Pundir’s vicinity, many near in his direction. Arjun sees the threat and suddenly shouts P-U-N-D-I-R! He gets up quickly and yanks him aside from the arrows path. Pundir ends up tripping down to the ground, and Arjun gets hit by one arrow instead. Arjun is in severe pain, Pundir looks at him in alarm, he still lies on the ground.
Jaichand can see from the distance they have hit their target.
Arjun now has an arrow lodged in his waste and struggles to stand, Pundir crawls to his side, he is shocked, Arjun? Pundir gets up and gives him support. Arjun is in intense pain he staggers. Arjun, Arjun? Arjun falls on his lap, he cannot bear the pain, and looks blankly into space. Pundir gives his head support.
Meanwhile Prithvi’s Dhilli party march forward with Prithvi in the lead, they carry many torches to light the dark forest. Prithvi is still not able to take the words lightly said by Baba. Prithvi was not able to get any answers from Baba either, he had witnessed a dream about a prophecy of somebody’s death, but whose?
Prithvi, Sanyo, Chand and the troops all march on through the night.
Arjun lies in Pundir’s lap. Arjun, Arjun, are you okay? Pundir repeatedly taps his cheek, he is unconscious. Arjun, open your eyes, open your eyes Arjun. Again he requests, Arjun, open your eyes, the situation is tense Pundir is nervous. He shakes him to wake up.

Pundir and Arjun listen on. Arjun cannot take the pain he gasps for air.
More arrows are fired in their direction. Where are you sitting and hiding Prithviraj Chauhan! If you have the courage!.... Then come out and show it to us! HEY PRITHVI! Jaichand shouts out loud.
Prithvi, Sanyo and the army march on, they are on their way. Again Baba’s words ring in Prithvi’s ear. They halt for a moment Prithvi scans the area around, it doesn’t look like that any battle has taken place in this area. But still how can anything happen to Pundir.

Jaichand and party have crossed the lake and entered the other side in the area where Arjun, Pundir and the troops are hiding. Jaichand leads his military through the bushes in search for them. Slowly and carefully they march ahead scanning the entire area, the military carry torches to see in the darkness.
Jaichand is nearing them. Pundir whispers, you take yourself and some of the troops with you to the back side and go from here, they both sit behind some bushes. You are in great need of treatment badly.
Now you don’t worry about my pain, friend. These kind of wounds, don’t know how many times I have tolerated.
Jaichand leads the way through the fields, his army follows behind. He cautiously searches for the Dhilli party, he holds his sword in front of him ready to strike.
I am actually worried for Prithvi, if he reaches here in these kind of conditions, his life will fall in danger again says Arjun.
Yes and they must have left for the Kannauj border.
Prithvi and party are on their way.
Under any circumstances we must stop Prithvi from advancing in this direction, tells Pundir to Arjun.

Pundir can hear the sounds of some troops nearing them, sounds of people passing through the grass ahead are evident. He still sits with Arjun behind some foliage and he knows they are hunting for them. Pundir has understood the situation now, I think now somebody is coming in our direction. Arjun is worried.
Jaichand’s army move in their area and start shooting arrows again, one Dhilli’s troop is hit again, he shouts ahhhh!
Pundir and Arjun hear his moans and look at each other.
The Kannauj troops are scattered around and hide behind the bushes, they get ready with their bows once more.
One Dhilli troop approaches Pundir and Arjun and whispers, Maharaj Jaichand and army are searching for us and coming in our direction here.
Arjun is shocked.
Jaichand and party are just nearby to them, all in the fields.
Pundir orders the troop, tell our army to get ready to attack secretly! Tell them to start the warfare. Arjun nods. We will fight till our last breath, Pundir exclaims sternly. Go! He holds his sword ready. The troop leaves to follow the orders and inform the others.
Jaichand and army scour the fields and are very close by now.
Pundir and Arjun get ready with their bows, they flex it and position the arrows to strike. They see Jaichand and two of his men painted green all over their bodies as camouflage, still visible, coming closer. They both aim, Arjun releases his bow and kills one man, Pundir strikes another.
Ackkk! Ackkkk! Jaichand is startled. The fight is on.
Arjun strikes another. 2 of Dhilli’s troops are hitting too. Arjun and Pundir shower their arrows back at Jaichand’s forces, along with the Dhilli troops who too are killing their opponents one by one. Pundir tries to hit but misses Jaichand, he takes safety behind a tree.
Jaichand is caught by surprise, in this darkness it is quite impossible to spot our enemies! We must retreat! They are unable to face the attack of the Dhilli forces they are getting showered with arrows. I cannot watch my troops die in this fashion! He and his troops dodge arrows all around them.
Pundir and Arjun fight back so do the Dhilli army.
We will wait till morning to make our next attack, secretly behind the hill. Let’s go! Jaichand and his troops make a run, away from the attacking Dhilli forces.
Pundir and Arjun aim at them. Arjun watches them all run away. Pundir raises his hand and gives his sign to halt attack. The troops stop and wait in their spots. Pundir says, if the enemy finds out our hiding places, we must also secretly wait for them.
Arjun is worried, but if Prithvi reaches here before morning time then what?
No it cannot be like that, Prithvi will rest through the night then advance after in the morning. Making it obvious that under any circumstances he will not be able to reach here before tomorrow night.
They do not know but Prithvi has already left and on his way with his forces they all march ahead nonstop. Sanyo finally exclaims, I am all exhausted Prithvi! No energy left in me, we will stop here and take some rest.
Sanyo, if you are so tired, you stop with Chand and rest here. Because my ultimate goal is to first reach the Kannauj border before morning time, under any conditions.
Sanyo is puzzled and cannot understand him, actually what is really the hurry Prithvi? How long we have been moving continuously without any breaks in between? You are yourself tired also, why don’t you just rest for a while?
No Sanyo, I just cannot rest at all, I must reach the Kannauj border as soon as possible under any circumstances.

Arjun has his bow in hand keeping an eye on him at the other end of the path in case he needs help, to protect him. Pundir runs as fast as he can. Prithvi can see him approaching now. Pundir makes a huge leap into the air and falls down flat on the ground.
Prithvi looks at him and calls out, Pundir! Chand too calls Pundir! They both rush to his side. Chand and Prithvi kneel and support his arms upward to make him sit up.

Both of them sit behind bushes for safety as shields from danger. But Jaichand’s military still fire their arrows at a sharp range. Arjun watches how the arrows still make their way to Pundir’s vicinity, many near in his direction. Arjun sees the threat and suddenly shouts P-U-N-D-I-R! He gets up quickly and yanks him aside from the arrows path. Pundir ends up tripping down to the ground, and Arjun gets hit by one arrow instead. Arjun is in severe pain, Pundir looks at him in alarm, he still lies on the ground.
Jaichand can see from the distance they have hit their target.

Jaichand is caught by surprise, in this darkness it is quite impossible to spot our enemies! We must retreat! They are unable to face the attack of the Dhilli forces they are getting showered with arrows. I cannot watch my troops die in this fashion! He and his troops dodge arrows all around them.
Pundir and Arjun fight back so do the Dhilli army.
We will wait till morning to make our next attack, secretly behind the hill. Let’s go! Jaichand and his troops make a run, away from the attacking Dhilli forces.
